Whitgift for All – transforming lives

We understand the profound societal impact of bursaries at Whitgift. They benefit individuals, their families, the local community, and all of the students and staff at Whitgift. Bursary award holders bring academic and co-curricular excellence, friendship, humility, and a determination to succeed which inspires others. Whitgift For All was set up to provide a Whitgift education to future generations of deserving boys.

We currently receive significant bursary funding, allocated by the John Whitgift Foundation, which is distributed according to income criteria and academic performance. However, the demand is increasingly exceeding available resources, for a number of reasons, including the pressure imposed on resources by recent government policy. We strive to bridge this gap by seeking additional support from the Whitgift Community. Now, more than ever, we're called to uphold the legacy of John Whitgift's philanthropy.

A transformational bursary represents a lifeline for families with limited means. It's more than financial assistance; it provides a genuine, life-changing impact for a young man setting out in life.

Whitgift Giving Day is a 36-hour event focused on raising funds for Whitgift For All. During this time, we invite the entire Whitgift community to come together, support local efforts through the 1596 Challenge, and expand bursary support for deserving students.

Your generous support is crucial. Every donation, no matter how much, is a symbol of your support for the value of a Whitgift education, and what it means to you.

Together, we can make a difference.
