 My son had 8 great years at Whitgift and is a great school. 

 The School gave me a great start in life before I joined the RAF. After 33 years in uniform and then 17 years in Mission Aviation Fellowship, those schooldays still feature in my memories as a foundation for my life, and also for the start of my Christian life too.

 We had two children at Whitgift. I am supporting giving day, as a way of acknowledging the opportunities our children had, and in a small way to support other children to also share in the unique opportunities this school offers.  

 I found the comments by Stewart Cook to be telling: "I wanted the school experience itself to be the privilege, not the background from which a student came. The wonderful thing about Whitgift is that the mix of pupils in their financial, religious, ethnic diversity, makes no distinctions..."

 I wasn't the brightest or best behaved student. Bob Schad was my housemaster from 1962 - 1968. I tried him sorely at times, fortunately he persevered and eventually I managed to progress to university. Thanks Whitgift; especially dear Bob who sadly passed away a couple of years ago.
